How do I upgrade the RAM in my Macbook?
This is a pretty common question. The reason for this is because Apple charges about double for RAM (aka, "memory") if you have them install it above what you could get it for at Crucial or Kingston. As a result, many people are having to figure out how to install RAM themselves.
The good news is that this is pretty easy. The only thing it requires is a coin, a screwdriver, a bit of manual dexterity, and about three minutes.
Apple has beautifully illustrated step-by-step instructions on their support site, but some things are better demonstrated with video. Lucky for us (and you), our friend David Alison, who writes one of the best Mac blogs out there (especially for you recent PC-to-Mac switchers) has a video showing us exactly how he changed the RAM in his wife's Macbook in three minutes. Check it out below.
